8" anklet is for a very small boned woman or a lean teen girl.
9" anklet is for an average sized woman
10" anklet is generally for someone size 12 or up
11" anklet is a larger plus size or for someone with water retention issues

 

However, the best way to size an anklet is to measure
Ankles vary...greatly. We have seen petite teenagers need 10" anklets and  plus size women need 8" anklets.  Here are two methods to get the sizing right:

Measure an anklet you own:
If you own another anklet that fits great, measure that from the hook to the end loop and order the length of the lowest full inch size.

Example: your other anklet measures 9 3/4"- order a 9" (each of our anklets comes with an additonal inch of extension chain)

Don't own another anklet? Measure your ankle:
Wrap a string around your ankle (loose) and note where it meets. Measure that length. Add about 1/2". And order the size of the full inch length.

Example #1: string measures 8 3/4" plus 1/2" = 9 1/4"....order a 9")
Example #2: string measures 9 3/8" plus 1/2"= 9 7/8"....order a 9")
Each anklet has a 1" length of extension chain.
